Prime Minister Modi took to X to share a link to a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) post, highlighting a substantial 31.6% increase in patent applications by Indian residents in 2022. This growth extends an impressive 11-year streak, unmatched by any other country among the top 10 filers.
In his post, the Prime Minister stated, “The rise in patent applications in India demonstrates the increasing innovative zeal of our youth and is a very positive sign for the times to come.” This acknowledgment reflects the government’s recognition of the growing spirit of innovation within the country.
