New Delhi:The Indian Navy welcomed a high-level delegation from the Indonesian Navy, led by Admiral Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, as part of the official visit accompanying His Excellency President Prabowo Subianto, the Chief Guest for the Republic Day Parade 2025.

During their visit, Admiral Muhammad Ali and Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, engaged in productive discussions aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation between the two nations. Key topics included advancing joint initiatives such as Exercise Samudra Shakti, enhancing operational collaboration, and addressing common maritime challenges, including piracy and illegal activities at sea.

The visit also included engagements at significant maritime establishments like the Information Fusion Centre – Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) and the Weapons and Electronics Systems and Engineering Establishment (WESEE), with a focus on improving regional cooperation and maritime domain awareness. Additionally, Admiral Muhammad Ali visited BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL), where discussions centred on furthering bilateral defence and strategic ties.

The interactions highlight a shared commitment to strengthening maritime relations and ensuring a secure and peaceful maritime environment in the region.
