New Delhi: The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways has been actively progressing with its Special Campaign 3.0, aiming to address a range of critical objectives. This campaign, initiated on October 2, 2023, focuses on multiple areas, including the efficient handling of public grievances, parliamentary references, workplace cleanliness, the disposal of scrap, and the streamlining of documentation.
As part of this effort, the Ministry has successfully reviewed 24,023 out of 24,215 physical files, identifying 6,847 files for disposal, of which 1,857 have already been removed. Additionally, 1,012 out of 13,848 E-files have been reviewed, and 7,538 have been closed. To promote awareness of the campaign, the Ministry and its Autonomous Bodies have actively engaged in social media, posting over 50 tweets on platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
One of the central aspects of the campaign is a massive cleanliness drive, which has already covered 94 out of 97 designated sites. This drive has resulted in the liberation of 1,421 square feet of space.
A significant achievement of the campaign is the revenue generated from the disposal of scrap and redundant materials, amounting to approximately Rs. 1,17,09,095. The Ministry has also been successful in addressing public grievances, parliamentary references, and parliamentary assurance targets, thereby demonstrating its commitment to effective governance.
This comprehensive campaign was launched after a preparatory phase that commenced on September 15, 2023, with a focus on setting specific targets for the main campaign phase running from October 2, 2023, to October 31, 2023.
