Sindhudurg, Maharashtra: In a momentous event, the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, unveiled the majestic statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort. The unveiling ceremony was marked by the Prime Minister paying floral tributes to the iconic statue, followed by a walkthrough of the photo gallery showcasing the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The Prime Minister took to social media on X to share the news: “Earlier this evening, unveiled a grand statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji at Rajkot fort.”
The event, held in the historic city of Sindhudurg, saw the presence of dignitaries including the Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, Union Minister for Defence, Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Narayan Rane, and Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. Also in attendance was the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral R Hari Kumar. The collective presence of these prominent figures added significance to the ceremony, marking it as a symbol of cultural and historical richness.
