New Delhi: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday emphasized that Indian women are increasingly taking on leadership roles across various spheres of life and professions, moving beyond their traditional participatory roles. He highlighted the significant contribution of women in powering India’s Chandrayaan Mission as evidence of their newfound roles. Speaking at a symposium on “Women at Workplace: Issues and Challenges” at Government Degree College, Kathua, Dr. Jitendra Singh urged the youth to benefit from the supportive environment created by the government and encouraged them to pursue their aspirations.
Dr. Jitendra Singh discussed the National Education Policy (NEP), which allows students to choose subjects based on their aptitude, creating more opportunities for them. He emphasized that the current generation is living in a time of unprecedented technological advancement and urged them to make judicious use of technology, emphasizing that the NEP is designed to provide students with access to the latest advancements.
The Minister called upon the youth to realize Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047 and highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing the capacity building of the youth. He urged the youth to play a proactive role in ensuring that India achieves the glory it deserves by 2047.
Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed confidence that India is ready to take a leadership role globally and emphasized that the country is prepared to be led by its women. Additionally, he encouraged young individuals to take advantage of financial assistance provided under the PM Mudra Yojana to establish their own startups, enabling them to create livelihoods for themselves and become job providers for others.
Prior to the symposium, Dr. Jitendra Singh interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes, including PM Ayushman Bharat. Women beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for receiving free-of-cost treatment for various diseases, a benefit they could not afford due to their poor financial conditions.
