The UAE’s council has issued a critical warning regarding high-risk vulnerabilities in and various Apple systems, urging users to take immediate action. These vulnerabilities in Google Chrome could potentially allow malicious actors to execute harmful code on users’ operating systems, as stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The council strongly advises all users to promptly update their Chrome browsers to the latest version to safeguard against potential threats.

Google Chrome, the most-used web browser globally with approximately 3.3 billion users across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, holds about 65% of the global market, according to Statcounter.

The Cyber Security Council also highlighted several vulnerabilities in Apple, affecting iOS,, macOS,, tvOS, and Safari, which could permit attackers to gain control of users’ devices. They strongly recommend that all users update their systems and software immediately to mitigate potential threats.

It’s Important to note that cyber security attacks can lead to reputational and financial damage to individuals and businesses. In 2022, the global average cost of a data breach was $4.35 million, slightly up from the previous year, as reported in IBM’s Cost of a Data Breach study.

Additionally, the UAE recently announced plans to develop a cyber security vision aimed at enhancing its capabilities in combating digital crime over the next 50 years. This initiative is intended to bolster the country’s resilience and ability to address evolving digital challenges, as explained by Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, the head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council. He emphasized the UAE’s commitment to using technology to optimize outcomes for humanity as it looks forward to its centennial in 2071.
