Nagpur: The district administration, in cooperation with both state and central governments, will be implementing a range of measures to safeguard lives and property from natural disasters. This decision arose during a meeting with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), as conveyed by district collector Vipin Itankar. Proposals for disaster mitigation measures will be submitted to the government in accordance with DDMA’s guidelines. “All pertinent departments have already submitted their funding proposals to the DDMA, which will pass a resolution and forward them to the government,” stated the collector. Present at the meeting were District Panchayat President Mukta Kokadde, ZP CEO Saumya Sharma, Resident Deputy Collector Subhash Choudhary, DDMA Officer Ankush Gavande, District Agriculture Superintendent Ravindra Manohar, and officials from various departments.
