Delhi: In a significant move towards promoting transparency and social responsibility, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), a Mini Ratna (Category – I) Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has unveiled a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portal. This portal, accessible 24×7, has been designed to foster greater transparency in the management of CSR requests from various organizations and institutions. It offers a CSR policy and proposal checklist for the systematic evaluation of CSR proposals, thereby streamlining IREDA’s social welfare initiatives as part of its CSR endeavors, making them easily accessible to the public. The portal, developed by IREDA’s IT team, is now live and can be found at https://onlinela.ireda.in/OnlineCSR/.
The official launch of the CSR portal took place during the closing ceremony of “Vigilance Awareness Week 2023,” held at IREDA’s registered office in Delhi. Dr. Praveen Kumari Singh, Additional Secretary of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), inaugurated the portal in the presence of Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of IREDA, along with Shri Ajay Kumar Sahani, Chief Vigilance Officer, and other senior officials.
