Sambalpur, Odisha: The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, launched the ‘New Education for New India’ campaign by Brahma Kumaris in Sambalpur on November 22, 2023. This initiative aims to instill values and elevate the consciousness of students for a better society.
In her address at the launch event, the President emphasized the pivotal and transformative role education has always played in shaping societies. She underscored that moral and human values, such as service, equality, and sympathy, form the bedrock of our culture. The youth, she stressed, should be well-acquainted with these ideals and take responsibility for caring for their elderly parents and individuals from marginalized sections, contributing to the creation of a better society.
The President urged for a positive attitude toward these values to be instilled in children’s minds through education. She noted that moral education is instrumental in shaping our lives and effecting positive changes in society. By fostering awareness of life values like compassion, kindness, friendship, and fraternity, moral education can bring about positive changes in individuals, thereby contributing to the betterment of society.
Expressing her satisfaction, the President acknowledged the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya for paving the way to happiness, peace, and joy through character-building, self-realization, and divine experiences.
