New Delhi: India Energy Week, 2024, will convene energy ministers from around the world alongside key decision-makers in the oil and gas industry. This platform aims to foster collaboration on policy-making through shared experiences, paving the way for a cleaner global energy future.
Distinguished foreign government officials slated to speak at the event include petroleum ministers from Libya, Nigeria, and Sudan, as well as energy ministers from Ghana, Djibouti, and Sri Lanka, among others. OPEC, the leading decision-making body for oil-exporting nations, will be represented by its Secretary-General, Haithan Al Ghais. Hardeep Singh Puri, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas & Housing and Urban Affairs, will preside over several conferences and sessions at IEW.
Additionally, IEW 2024 will feature speakers from regulatory bodies, renewable energy associations, and policy research organizations, providing a comprehensive view of the global energy landscape. The event will host strategic conferences where global decision-makers will discuss the future of sustainable energy.
These sessions will comprise ministerial panels, leadership panels with business leaders and industry experts, fireside chats, and expert interviews led by Indian policymakers and energy leaders. Scheduled topics include “India’s Oil Market 2030” and “Seismic Shifts – Harnessing New Exploration Technology to Develop Deepwater Frontiers,” among others.
Dynamic and vibrant Goa will host IEW 2024 from February 6-9 at the IPSHEM-ONGC Training Institute. Organized by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, this event aims to facilitate meaningful discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among industry experts, policymakers, academia, and entrepreneurs.
The significance of IEW 2024 lies in India’s success in balancing energy security and transition, demonstrated through measures such as increasing domestic crude oil and natural gas production and ramping up ethanol blending in petrol. IEW offers a platform for sharing India’s dynamic decision-making approach to ensure accessible, affordable, and clean energy while highlighting the country’s leadership in combating climate change.
IEW 2024 is expected to attract over 35,000 attendees, 350 exhibitors, 400 speakers, and 4,000 delegates from over 100 countries, providing a vibrant atmosphere for networking and collaboration.
