New Delhi: Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, inaugurated the International Maritime Seminar as part of MILAN 2024, here today.
This seminar, a crucial element of MILAN 2024, showcased a gathering of global maritime expertise, serving as a platform for nations worldwide to actively collaborate, synergize, and promote growth in ocean-related endeavors.
Attended by the Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, as well as Naval Chiefs of Friendly Foreign Countries, along with senior dignitaries, delegates including Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and senior naval officers from both India and friendly foreign nations, the seminar highlighted the importance of fostering international dialogue and cooperation in the maritime sector.
Under the theme “Partners across Oceans: Collaboration, Synergy, Growth,” the seminar featured insightful presentations and discussions by esteemed speakers from twelve nations, delving into key areas such as economic growth, maritime security, capacity building, climate change mitigation, blue economy initiatives, and sustainable development of maritime infrastructure.
