Odisha Government is committed to strengthen power infrastructure with high investment to ensure 24×7 supply, stated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at an orientation programme for the new recruits of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL).
The orientation programme was organized at Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan on virtual mode.
Speaking at an orientation programme for new recruits of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) through video-conferencing, the chief minister said electricity being the prime mover of economy, the government has been investing significantly in the power sector to enhance the generation capacity, strengthen the transmission and distribution infrastructure and provide electricity to all.
He further said that, the government recently sanctioned Rs 1800 crore for construction of 99 substations of 33 KV capacity across the state.
As many as 60 Management Trainees and 175 Junior Technicians joined OPTCL on Thursday.
