Hygienic practices in preparing the prasad while following the COVID guidelines and strictures give BHOG certification to Iskcon temple of bhubaneswar. This certification is given by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

In order to get the BHOG certification for its temple in Bhubaneswar, the Iskcon authorities sought the help of the office of the Commissioner of Food Safety, Odisha. As per the guidance manual of BHOG, they implemented food safety on the temple premises and used fortified staples like ghee, oil, rice, flour and milk while preparing prasad.

The FSSAI had launched project Blissful Hygienic Offering to God (BHOG) with an aim to ensure safety of the prasad offered to devotees in places of worship.
