Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary of Odisha Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Thursday informed that the physical classes of students from class 8 to above will reopen from February 7 across the State.

In his address to the general public, the Chief Secretary said that the State government has decided that all educational institutions, importing any type of education of Class-8 and above including schools, colleges, ITIs, Polytechnics, Degree Colleges and Professional Colleges and Universities, should start physical classroom teaching with effect from February 7, 2022 as the daily covid positive rate and hospitalization rates are decreasing gradually.

He also said that the schools for the physical class of the students from KG to class 7 will reopen from February 14.
